For the profession

For coaches who take the work — and the people they sit with — seriously.

The Coaching Registry is an independent reference for the profession, built with care by people who believe the right coach can change the shape of someone's year. We review every application by hand, verify professional credentials, and publish clear standards — so the trust you've earned is the trust people find here.

III — How status appears

One badge system, used the same way everywhere.

Your professional status appears identically on your profile, in the directory, and in search results. Coaches working toward an accreditation may display their expected completion date, so visitors can make informed decisions with full transparency.

Newly Verified

Newly Verified is a separate, temporary indicator shown alongside your applicable professional-status badge for three months after approval. It is a recognition of recent inclusion only — it never affects search ranking, ordering, or placement.

IV — Profile content

Profile Content Standard.

Coach profiles on The Coaching Registry should be professional, accurate, respectful, and appropriate for a general audience. Coaches are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide about their practice, experience, services, and professional background.

Profile content should

  • Accurately represent the coach's services, experience, areas of focus, qualifications, credentials, and professional status
  • Be professional and respectful
  • Avoid profanity, sexually explicit content, discriminatory or harassing language
  • Avoid misleading, exaggerated, or unverifiable claims about qualifications, credentials, professional status, affiliations, or expected results
  • Avoid implying endorsement, accreditation, certification, partnership, or affiliation that does not exist
  • Avoid presenting coaching as a substitute for medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other regulated professional services in a misleading manner
  • Include only links and materials appropriate for a professional coaching profile
  • Use a clear, recent photograph of the coach as the profile image — logos, company marks, illustrations, and group photos are not accepted

The Coaching Registry may request changes to profile content that does not meet these standards and may decline to publish or remove specific content. Serious or repeated violations may result in suspension or removal of a coach's listing from The Coaching Registry.

Professional credentials, education, and other information specifically reviewed by The Coaching Registry remain subject to the Registry's separate verification standards. Compliance with this Profile Content Standard does not mean that The Coaching Registry has independently verified every statement or claim made by a coach in their self-authored profile content.

V — Why join

Why join The Coaching Registry.
