About The Coaching Registry

Professional coaching has grown significantly, giving people more choices than ever before. It has also made it harder to understand the differences among coach education, professional credentials, and individual experience.

The Coaching Registry was created to make that process easier.

We provide one place where people can explore professionally trained coaches and clearly understand the qualifications each coach brings to their work.

Every coach listed in The Coaching Registry has completed an individual review before their profile is published.

Professional coach education is reviewed. When a coach lists a professional credential, that credential is verified through an authoritative source where applicable.

The Registry recognizes three professional pathways:

These pathways describe a coach’s professional status. They are not rankings, and one is not presented as better than another.

The Registry reviews information coaches provide about their professional coach education and, where applicable, verifies their listed professional credentials.

This may include:

• professional coach education;
• training institutions and completion information;
• professional coaching credentials;
• credential status and relevant dates;
• supporting documentation or authoritative credential records.

A coach’s biography, coaching philosophy, specialties, ideal-client description, and public links are supplied by the coach. They appear to help people evaluate fit, but they are not independently verified statements of coaching quality or effectiveness.

Private credential numbers, uploaded documents, and private verification materials are used only for review and are not displayed publicly.

The Coaching Registry is not affiliated with or governed by any particular coaching school, credentialing body, membership organization, or coaching methodology.

Education is reviewed independently of where a coach trained, and applicable credentials are verified independently of the organization that issued them. Each application is considered individually using consistent review standards.

Registry inclusion does not evaluate personality fit, rank coaching ability, endorse a particular coaching approach, or guarantee client outcomes. Choosing a coach remains an individual decision based on a person’s goals, needs, experience, and sense of fit.
