About The Coaching Registry
Finding a coach shouldn't require understanding the coaching industry.
The Coaching Registry exists to help people identify professionally trained and independently verified coaches through a consistent, transparent review process.
Our purpose is simple: strengthen trust between coaches and the people seeking their services.
01
Why We Exist
Professional coaching has grown significantly, bringing more choices than ever before. At the same time, it has become increasingly difficult for prospective clients to understand a coach's education, credentials, and professional background.
The Coaching Registry was created to make that process easier.
Our role is to provide an independent place where professional coaching education and credentials can be reviewed and verified, giving clients greater confidence while helping elevate professional standards across the coaching profession.
02
What We Verify
The Coaching Registry reviews information provided by coaches as part of our verification process.
Depending on the coach's background, this may include:
- Professional coaching education
- Professional credentials
- Credential status
- Other recognized professional qualifications relevant to coaching
Verification confirms that the information displayed on a coach's profile has been independently reviewed by The Coaching Registry.
What we do not verify
Verification does not evaluate coaching quality, coaching effectiveness, personality fit, or guarantee client outcomes. Choosing a coach remains an individual decision based on experience, goals, and personal fit.
03
Independent by Design
The Coaching Registry independently reviews professional coaching education and credentials from recognized training organizations.
We do not represent any single coaching school, credentialing body, membership organization, or coaching methodology.
Our role is to independently verify professional qualifications so clients can make informed decisions with greater confidence.
This independence allows us to apply consistent review standards regardless of where a coach completed their education or obtained their professional credential.
04
Recognition & Review Standards
Professional coaching education is offered through many respected organizations. The Coaching Registry reviews education and credentials from recognized professional coaching organizations using established review standards.
Our review process evolves as the profession evolves.
As coaching continues to mature, our standards and recognized organizations will continue to be reviewed and updated to reflect the profession responsibly.
The Coaching Registry is not affiliated with any particular coaching organization.
05
Transparency
Trust depends on understanding the process.
For that reason, The Coaching Registry clearly explains:
- what has been verified
- what each verification badge represents
- what information appears on coach profiles
- how coaches are reviewed
- how coaches can request corrections if information changes
Transparency helps both coaches and clients understand exactly what our verification represents.
06

The Coaching Registry is guided by several core principles.
