- Yes, entirely free. We don't sell your data and don't share inquiries with coaches you haven't contacted.
- What does it mean when a coach is listed in The Coaching Registry?
- Every listed coach has completed an individual review before inclusion. Professional coach education is reviewed, and applicable listed professional credentials are verified through authoritative sources. Each profile displays the coach’s professional status: Credentialed Coach, Accreditation in Progress, or Professionally Trained Coach. These statuses describe different professional pathways, not rankings.
- How are coaches reviewed?
- Each coach submits information about their professional coach education and, where applicable, listed professional credentials. Every submission is reviewed by hand. Professional coach education is reviewed, and applicable listed professional credentials are verified before the coach is approved and listed in the Registry.
- What does “Accreditation in Progress” mean?
- The coach has completed professional coach education and has indicated that they are working toward a professional coaching credential through an external credentialing organization. The profile displays the expected credential date provided by the coach so visitors can consider what fits their needs.
- Do coaches pay to be listed?
- There is currently no fee to apply, be reviewed, or join as a Founding Coach. Founding Coaches receive a complimentary listing for one year beginning when The Coaching Registry reaches 200 approved coaches. If a membership or listing fee is introduced after that period, payment will never influence approval, search results, visibility, or profile placement.
- Can I leave a review?
- Not at this time. The Coaching Registry focuses on professional qualifications and transparency and does not currently collect or publish client ratings or reviews.
- Is coaching a substitute for therapy?
- No. If you're navigating a clinical mental health concern, please consult a licensed therapist or physician.
